Congrats to Crater alum Larson Kindreich, who was drafted in the 8th round of the 2021 MLB draft by the Texas Rangers. You can read Larson’s draft prospect analysis here. Larson officially just completed his sophomore season at Biola (though due to Covid, it was actually his third). You can check out his Biola page here. The great thing about baseball, according to Ryan Gipson, is that if you work hard enough and carry a passion for the sport, opportunities will undeniably come your way.
It was that way during his decorated playing career, and it’s been the same as he continues a second career in baseball as a coach.

Middle School Baseball tryouts are at 1:00 on February 23rd at Anhorn Field. For more information contact Coach Campbell at jay.campbell@district6.org.
High school preseason workouts are underway. Pitchers and catchers are working Mondays and Wednesdays at Scenic Middle School from 6 to 7:15 p.m.. Fielders are meeting on the Crater football field from 4 to 5:15 on Tuesdays for defensive work, and hitters are meeting in the cages from 4-5:15 on Thursdays. Crater alum Larson Kindreich is off to a hot start for Biola University. He fanned twelve batters in his first outing of the season, leading Biola to a 4-2 victory.
