With its 6-2 win at Roseburg today, Crater Baseball won the outright Southern Oregon league title. The team finished the regular season 21-5 and is ranked #1 in the final state power rankings. The playoffs begin Monday, May 26th at Anhorn Field. (Note: OSAA collects a gate fee for playoff games). The JV team also had a successful season with 18 wins against 6 losses.

Crater Sweeps North

Fresno Easter Classic
Crater Baseball had an exceptional showing in the 32-team Fresno Easter Classic, going undefeated in pool play and playing in the championship game against baseball behemoth Clovis High. Team Pictures & Fundraising
All players are to turn-in unsold coupons and funds on Monday, April 7. Players will be “blitzing” neighborhoods in an attempt to sell remaining coupons.
Team pictures are scheduled for Tuesday, April 8. Players should wear or bring their full uniform to practice.
Schedule Changes
The freshmen game between Crater and Cascade has been changed from 4/30 to 5/1. It will still be played at Anhorn field at 5pm.
The JV will not be traveling to Jesuit High School. The Varsity game has been re-scheduled for either Tuesday, April 8 or Wednesday, April 9.
Tibbets Walk-off

Crater’s annual Spring Break Tournament at Anhorn Field concludes today with four additional games (see below). Crater plays North Salem tonight at 7 p.m.

Middle School Baseball
Middle school baseball sign ups and parent meeting will be February 19th at 7pm at Scenic Middle School library. Tryouts will be February 23rd at 1pm at Anhorn Field. Seventh and Eighth grade players residing in the Central Point School District (CP, Sams Valley, Gold Hill) are eligible to play.
Open Field
Preseason baseball means Anhorn Field is open to Central Point/D6 youth wanting to get a head start on the spring season. The facility is open on Tuesdays and Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m.. No coaching from the high school staff will take place, but students can use the cages and rest of the park.
